(1) Angle steel

Angle steel is divided into equal sides (also known as equal limbs) and unequal sides (also known as unequal limbs), mainly used to make truss and other lattice structure of the connection rod and support. (2) I-beam steel

There are three kinds of I-beams: ordinary I-beams, light I-beams and H-beams. The moment of inertia of the two main axes of ordinary I-steel and light I-steel is very different, and should not be used as a compression member alone, but should be used as a bending member in the web plane, or a combination member or lattice member composed of I-steel and other steel. Wide flange H-shaped steel plane inside and outside the rotation radius is close, can be used as a separate compression member.

The type of ordinary I-steel is indicated by the number of centimeters of the section height after the symbol "I". I-steel above No. 20 is divided into a, b or a, b, c and other categories according to the thickness of the web, such as I 20a indicates that the height is 200mm and the thickness of the web is class a I-steel. The flange of lightweight I-steel is wider and thinner than that of ordinary I-steel, and the turning radius is larger. The type of ordinary I-steel is 10 ~ 63, the light I-steel is 10 ~ 70, and the supply length is 5 ~ 19m.

Compared with ordinary I-steel, the inner and outer surfaces of the flange plate of H-shaped steel are parallel, which is easy to connect with other members. The basic types of H-shaped steel can be divided into three categories: wide flange (HW), middle flange (HM) and narrow flange (HN). It can also be divided into T-shaped steel supply, code TW, TM, TN. The type of H-shaped steel and corresponding steel are respectively denoted with "Height Hx Width Bx web thickness t1x flange thickness t2", such as HW400x400x13x21 and TW200x400x13x21. Wide and middle flange H-beams can be used for compression members such as steel columns, while narrow flange H-beams can be used for bending members of steel beams.
